
Quantum Cyber buys AI compute cluster
- Quantum Cyber acquired an NVIDIA A100-powered AI compute cluster to support its Swarm Operating System and Quantum Station defense platform.
- The company plans to install the system at its Bridgeport, Connecticut manufacturing facility to support AI model development and autonomy features.
- Quantum Cyber said the infrastructure will support drone warfare, counter-UAS, and border security applications.
Quantum Cyber (NASDAQ:QUCY) acquired a Lambda Hyperplane 8-A100 AI compute cluster powered by NVIDIA A100 Tensor Core GPUs to support its autonomous defense platforms and AI development efforts.
The company said the cluster will be installed at its Bridgeport, Connecticut manufacturing facility, where it produces autonomous drone platforms and develops its Quantum Station command-and-control system.
“Bringing an NVIDIA A100 compute cluster in-house is what allows us to do that,” said David Lazar, Chief Executive Officer of Quantum Cyber.
Quantum Cyber said the AI infrastructure will support training and deployment of models for its Swarm Operating System, including autonomous target detection, simulation, synthetic-data generation, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
The company said the compute cluster has been used to train AI models for autonomous target detection and autolock capabilities across aerial and ground platforms, while reducing reliance on external computing resources.
Quantum Cyber develops autonomous defense technology platforms focused on drone systems, counter-unmanned aerial systems, border security, and AI-enabled battlefield command solutions.
