Propanc Biopharma reports narrower loss and advances PRP cancer study

Propanc Biopharma (NASDAQ:PPCB) reported fiscal 2026 financial results and provided an update on development plans for PRP, its investigational cancer therapy candidate.

The company said a Phase 1b clinical study of PRP is planned to begin in the first quarter of 2027, with the first patient visit expected in April.

The study is designed to enroll up to 50 patients with advanced solid tumors in Australia.

Propanc highlighted preclinical data showing that PRP produced more than 90% mean tumor growth inhibition compared with controls in animal models of pancreatic cancer and extended median survival by more than 2.5-fold.

For the year ended June 30, 2026, Propanc reported a net loss of $18.86 million, compared with a net loss of $58.92 million in the prior year.

Revenue remained at zero.

The company raised gross proceeds of $7.5 million during the year, including a public offering of 1 million shares priced at $4.00 per share.

Propanc reported cash of $832,006 as of June 30, 2026, and received an additional $2 million afterward through its Series C financing facility.

Total liabilities declined to $3.38 million from $5.73 million a year earlier.

The company also authorized a share repurchase program of up to $5 million and completed an initial $500,000 tranche.
