Pentair sales fall 17% to $933 million

Pentair (NYSE:PNR) reported second-quarter 2026 sales of $933 million, down 17% from the prior-year period as Pool channel inventory destocking reduced revenue by approximately $170 million.

Earnings per diluted share from continuing operations fell 11% to $0.80 from $0.90, while adjusted earnings per share declined 18% to $1.14 from $1.39.

Pentair said adjusted earnings per share came in slightly above the level communicated on July 14, while reported earnings matched its earlier update.

Operating income was $167 million, representing a return on sales of 17.9%, while the adjusted return on sales was 25.4% and results included approximately $35 million of IEEPA refunds.

The company updated its full-year 2026 GAAP earnings per share guidance to approximately $3.86 to $4.06 and reaffirmed adjusted EPS guidance of approximately $4.60 to $4.80.

Pentair provides water treatment, flow management and pool-related products and services designed to help customers move, improve and manage water.

The company repurchased $150 million of ordinary shares during the quarter as it continued managing costs, capital returns and weaker demand caused by inventory reductions in the Pool channel.
