
Pearson agrees to acquire AI skills platform Workera
- Pearson agreed to acquire Workera, a provider of AI-based workforce skills assessment technology.
- Workera’s platform uses adaptive assessments and simulations to measure workplace skills, including AI fluency.
- The acquisition is expected to close in the second half of 2026, subject to customary conditions.
Pearson (NYSE:PSO) agreed to acquire Workera, a company that provides AI-powered workforce skills assessment solutions for enterprises.
Workera’s platform uses adaptive assessments, role-specific scenarios, and simulations to measure demonstrated skills, helping organizations identify skill gaps and evaluate employee development.
Pearson said Workera’s technology can help organizations identify workforce capability gaps, recommend relevant training programs, and measure improvements in employee skills.
Workera serves enterprise and government customers, including ServiceNow, Accenture, and the United States Space Force, and has approximately 60 employees.
Pearson said the acquisition is expected to close in the second half of 2026, after which Workera will become part of Pearson’s Enterprise Learning & Skills business unit, with Workera co-founder and CEO Kian Katanforoosh joining the leadership team
