Parsons secures $392M federal biometrics contract for national security

Parsons Corporation (NYSE:PSN) announced on Monday that it has been awarded a ten-year, $392 million single-award contract by an undisclosed federal customer.

The win represents "new work" for the Chantilly-based defense technology provider, further solidifying its position in the rapidly expanding market for mobile identity management and biometric security.

The contract tasks Parsons with delivering a comprehensive suite of hardware, software, and systems integration services.

By combining its biometrics and network engineering capabilities, the company will support a range of critical missions across federal, defense, and law enforcement agencies.

These missions primarily focus on real-time biometric data collection, high-speed identity verification, and enhanced threat detection in dynamic environments.

Parsons has built a significant track record in this niche, having already delivered over 3,500 mobile biometrics solutions globally.

The company’s portfolio is led by its Javelin™ series of rugged handheld devices and its Ares™ mobile biometric software, which are frequently used by the U.S. Marine Corps and the Coast Guard for "at-sea" and field-based identity vetting.

The $392 million award follows a string of recent successes for Parsons, including a position on the Missile Defense Agency’s $151 billion SHIELD contract and a separate modernization effort for the U.S. Coast Guard’s Biometrics at Sea System (BASS 2.0).
