Novo Nordisk (NYSE:NVO) presented new CagriSema clinical data at EASD 2026, including studies evaluating food-related brain responses, organ fat changes and weight reduction in adults with overweight or obesity.

A 52-week brain-imaging study found reduced food cravings and food preoccupation at Weeks 22 and 52, with an estimated body-weight treatment difference versus placebo of a 22.4% reduction at Week 52.

In the REIMAGINE 1 diabetes imaging sub-study, CagriSema 2.4 mg/2.4 mg reduced abdominal, liver and pancreas fat compared with placebo alongside a 14.3% weight reduction at Week 40, while a post hoc REIMAGINE 2 analysis showed preliminary signs of balanced bone maintenance with a 14.2% weight reduction at Week 68.

CagriSema is an investigational combination therapy being studied for weight management and metabolic conditions, with ongoing trials evaluating its effects on body weight and related health measures.

Novo Nordisk stated that CagriSema remains under clinical evaluation and has not been approved for use by regulatory authorities.
