Meta (NASDAQ:META) announced its second-quarter 2026 financial results, highlighted by a 28% year-over-year increase in revenue to $60.8 billion.

The revenue growth was driven by a 14% increase in ad impressions and a 12% rise in the average price per ad.

Despite the top-line growth, the company's net income dropped 14% to $15.8 billion, and diluted earnings per share fell 13% to $6.18.

Total costs and expenses rose 55% to $42 billion, which included $2.4 billion in legal charges and $1.18 billion in severance tied to May 2026 layoffs.

Following the announcement, Meta's share price was down at $585.61.

The Reality Labs division posted a quarterly operating loss of $4.62 billion on $431 million in revenue, while the Family of Apps segment generated $23.39 billion in operating income.

Looking ahead, management expects third-quarter 2026 revenue to range between $61 billion and $64 billion, with full-year 2026 capital expenditures projected between $130 billion and $145 billion.
