Total revenue for the fiscal year reached RMB227.9 million.
The return to the black was largely driven by a significant expansion in gross margins, which reached 57.7% for the full year.
Management attributed this improvement to a deliberate shift in the revenue mix, prioritizing higher-margin advertising and enterprise value-added services over lower-margin segments.
This strategy was complemented by aggressive cost-control measures across the organization, which helped the company navigate a challenging macroeconomic environment for Chinese digital media.
While the bottom line showed strength, the company faced headwinds in its traditional user-facing segments.
Subscription revenue and total customer counts in certain categories saw a decline during the year, reflecting a broader trend of cautious corporate spending.
However, the surge in demand for 36Kr’s specialized consulting and premium marketing solutions for New Economy companies effectively bridged the gap, allowing the firm to maintain its position as a key intermediary in China’s technology and venture capital ecosystem.
Financially, 36Kr ended the year in a strengthened liquidity position.
Cash, cash equivalents, and short-term investments rose to RMB116.1 million as of December 31, 2025.
