Lockheed Martin and allies plan PAC-3 support site
- Lockheed Martin (NYSE:LMT) and NATO allies agreed to explore a dedicated PAC-3 missile maintenance facility in Europe.
- The facility would provide regional sustainment support for PAC-3 MSE and PAC-3 CRI interceptors.
- The initiative follows efforts to expand PAC-3 MSE production capacity for NATO air defense needs.
Lockheed Martin (NYSE:LMT) and NATO allies, including the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, and Sweden, agreed to explore establishing a dedicated PAC-3 missile maintenance facility in Europe.
The proposed facility would support regional maintenance and sustainment of PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) and PAC-3 Cost Reduction Initiative (CRI) interceptors.
The project is intended to strengthen NATO integrated air and missile defense readiness by providing in-region support capabilities.
Lockheed Martin said the facility would build on its experience in missile production and sustainment operations.
The initiative follows a previous framework agreement aimed at tripling PAC-3 MSE production capacity.
A separate $4.7 billion U.S. contract is expected to continue supporting increased PAC-3 MSE production during 2026.
