Leggett & Platt sales fall 6% to $1 billion

Leggett & Platt (NYSE:LEG) reported Q2 2026 sales of $999.7 million, down 6%, while adjusted EPS increased to $0.39.

Sales fell from $1.06 billion as divestitures reduced revenue by 5% and organic sales declined 1%.

Adjusted EBIT rose to $89 million, net debt was 2.6 times adjusted EBITDA, and operating cash flow fell 45% to $45.8 million.

Leggett & Platt expects macroeconomic pressures to limit demand.

Following the announcement, Leggett & Platt's share price was down 2% at $10.25 in premarket trading.

Bedding Products sales fell 1%, Specialized Products sales declined 19%, and Furniture, Flooring and Textile Products sales increased 1%.

The company maintained its $0.05 quarterly dividend and is awaiting an August 20 shareholder vote and remaining approvals for Somnigroup’s $2.5 billion acquisition.
