L3Harris completes $845 million Rocketdyne stake sale

L3Harris Technologies (NYSE:LHX) completed the $845 million sale of a majority stake in its commercial space propulsion, power and electronics businesses to AE Industrial Partners.

The transaction closes an agreement announced in January, when L3Harris said completion remained subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.

The RS-25 rocket engine operation was excluded, while L3Harris retained about 40% of the newly named Rocketdyne business.

Following the announcement, L3Harris' share price was up 0.3% at $277.86, as the company said proceeds would fund facilities and advanced technologies.

L3Harris completed its acquisition of Aerojet Rocketdyne in July 2023, adding propulsion and energetics operations to its aerospace and defence portfolio.

In April 2026, L3Harris closed a $1 billion government investment in Missile Solutions and said it still planned a second-half IPO.
