The transaction represents a complete buyout from existing private equity investors Hg and General Atlantic.
"Gen II is exactly the type of financial services business we look for – a sophisticated sector leader with exceptional client relationships and a differentiated service model," said KKR Partner Chris Harrington.
Gen II currently provides administrative services to over 275 investment managers representing more than $2 trillion in assets.
Gen II quadrupled its revenue and EBITDA following a co-investment by General Atlantic and Hg in 2020.
The acquisition is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to close in 2027.
