Innovent Biologics and Lilly (NYSE:LLY) entered a commercialization agreement for Verzenios (abemaciclib) in mainland China, shifting commercial control to Innovent.
The agreement builds on existing access in China, where Verzenios is already included on the National Reimbursement Drug List for multiple breast cancer indications.
Under the deal, Innovent will take responsibility for importation, marketing, distribution, and promotion of the drug across mainland China.
Lilly will remain the Marketing Authorization Holder and will continue to manage manufacturing, supply, and development activities.
Innovent Biologics continues to expand its oncology portfolio in China through partnerships with global pharmaceutical companies, while Lilly maintains a focus on global commercialization and product development for Verzenios.
