Hudbay Minerals (NYSE:HBM) extended the reserve mine life of its Snow Lake operations in Manitoba to 2043 under an updated plan that increases projected gold production.

The updated plan projects average gold production of 185,000 ounces annually from 2026 through 2030, with total gold output during the five-year period expected to be 37% higher than the 2021 technical report.

Hudbay reported average gold cash costs of $821 per ounce and sustaining cash costs of $1,379 per ounce for 2026–2030, while proven and probable reserves totaled 27 million tonnes containing approximately 2 million ounces of gold as of September 1, 2026.

Hudbay Minerals operates mining assets focused on copper, gold, and other metals, with operations in Canada, Peru, and the United States.

The company said the updated Snow Lake plan follows a previous four-year mine life extension announced in March, while full production at the 1901 deposit is expected in late 2027.
