Consolidated net sales declined 8.7% in the quarter and decreased 5.5% during the first six months of fiscal 2027 compared with the prior-year periods.
Operating income reached $1.3 million in the second quarter and $2.9 million in the first six months, compared with operating losses of $0.5 million and $1.0 million in the prior-year periods.
The company received $7.9 million in tariff recoveries, ended the quarter with $18.7 million in cash, and reported no term loan balance.
Hooker Furnishings reduced inventory to $43.4 million while backlog increased 6.2% year over year and 8.4% sequentially.
