Eldorado Gold (NYSE:EGO) completed the permanent connection of its Skouries mine in northern Greece to the national power grid after final inspections and approvals.

The connection followed testing and approval by the Greek transmission authority and comes as the mine produces its first copper-gold concentrate ahead of planned commercial production.

Eldorado said Skouries is expected to begin commercial production in the fourth quarter of 2026, with projected average annual production over the mine’s life of 140,000 ounces of gold and 67 million pounds of copper.

Eldorado Gold operates mining assets focused on gold production, including projects in Greece, Canada, and Türkiye.

The company said the Skouries project is a copper-gold development that has progressed through construction, grid connection, and initial concentrate production milestones.
