Dr. Reddy’s (NYSE:RDY) announced the United States launch of Sugammadex Injection, a generic equivalent of Bridion, to expand its hospital portfolio.
The generic medication targets a market previously held by Bridion, which generated approximately $1.6 billion in U.S. sales over the 12 months ending May 2026.
Sugammadex Injection is indicated for reversing neuromuscular blockades in adult and pediatric patients aged two years and older undergoing surgery.
The company will offer the vertically integrated medication in 200 mg/2 mL and 500 mg/5 mL single-dose vials.
Following the announcement, Dr. Reddy’s share price was down at $12.07.
The pharmaceutical rollout marks the first day of generic availability for the medication within the United States.
The company stated it manufactures the injection through its global supply network to ensure execution excellence and supply reliability.
