Designer Brands (NYSE:DBI) reported second-quarter 2026 net sales of $730.6 million, down 1.2% year over year, while net income increased to $17.6 million.
The company’s comparable sales declined 2.4%, but profitability improved as gross margin expanded to 50.0% from 43.6% in the prior-year period.
Reported gross profit increased to $365.4 million from $322.5 million, while adjusted gross profit reached $350.0 million and adjusted gross margin increased to 47.9%.
Retail segment sales declined 2.2% to $671.1 million, while Brand Portfolio sales increased 17.9% to $86.3 million during the quarter.
Designer Brands ended the quarter with $51.6 million in cash, reduced total debt to $423.1 million from $516.3 million, and raised full-year 2026 guidance for net sales and adjusted diluted EPS.
