CoreWeave (NASDAQ:CRWV), the specialized cloud provider for large-scale artificial intelligence, announced a multi-year agreement today with Anthropic to support the development and deployment of the Claude family of AI models.
The deal further cements CoreWeave’s status as a dominant infrastructure layer for the generative AI era, with nine of the world’s top ten model providers now utilizing its platform.
Under the terms of the agreement, Anthropic will leverage CoreWeave’s high-performance cloud architecture to run production-scale workloads.
The partnership includes a phased infrastructure rollout scheduled to begin later this year, with provisions for significant expansion as Anthropic scales its AI models for developers and enterprise clients globally.
The collaboration comes at a time when the demand for specialized AI compute—primarily powered by massive GPU clusters—continues to outpace traditional cloud offerings.
CoreWeave’s stack, which recently earned top "Platinum" rankings in the SemiAnalysis ClusterMAX™ benchmarks, is specifically engineered to handle the intensive training and inference requirements of Large Language Models (LLMs) like Claude.
For Anthropic, the move diversifies its infrastructure ecosystem beyond its existing high-profile partnerships with Google and Amazon.
By integrating CoreWeave’s specialized cloud, Anthropic gains access to a technology stack that has consistently set performance records in MLPerf benchmarks, potentially reducing latency and improving efficiency for its Claude 3 and future model iterations.
