Copa Holdings traffic jumps 16.8% in August

Copa Holdings (NYSE:CPA) reported preliminary August 2026 traffic results showing available seat miles and revenue passenger miles increased 16.8% year over year.

Available seat miles reached 3,219.1 million, while revenue passenger miles increased to 2,840.9 million compared with August 2025 levels of 2,755.1 million and 2,432.2 million.

The company’s system load factor remained at 88.3%, unchanged from the same month in 2025, as passenger demand increased alongside available capacity.

Copa Holdings operates passenger and cargo services across destinations in the Americas and the Caribbean through its airline operations.

The company said the August traffic figures are preliminary and represent continued changes in capacity and passenger activity across its network.
