Commvault Systems (NASDAQ:CVLT) reported first-quarter fiscal 2027 revenue of $314.1 million, up 11% from the prior-year period, driven by a 16% increase in subscription revenue to $267 million.

SaaS revenue rose 39% and surpassed $100 million for the first time, while subscription annual recurring revenue increased 22% to $1.05 billion and SaaS ARR reached $424.3 million.

Commvault said the results reflected continued customer demand for its cloud-based data protection, cyber resilience and recovery services.

GAAP income from operations was $25.7 million, representing an 8.2% margin, while non-GAAP EBIT reached $71.5 million, with a margin of 22.8%.

Non-GAAP net income was $59.2 million, or $1.42 per diluted share, free cash flow increased 71% to $51.1 million and the Commvault share price following the announcement was not disclosed at a specific market level.

Commvault provides enterprise data protection, backup, recovery and cyber resilience software across cloud, SaaS and on-premises environments.

For fiscal 2027, the company expects subscription revenue of $1.12 billion to $1.13 billion, subscription ARR of $1.20 billion to $1.21 billion and free cash flow of $250 million to $260 million, supported by a multi-year Microsoft Azure partnership and planned share repurchases.
