Centene (NYSE:CNC) reported second-quarter 2026 total revenues of $53.6 billion, including premium and service revenues of $44.4 billion, up 4% year over year.

GAAP diluted earnings were $2.19 per share and adjusted diluted earnings were $2.51 per share, compared with a loss in the same period of 2025.

Centene said improved operating performance and lower medical costs supported its decision to raise its full-year earnings guidance.

The consolidated health benefits ratio improved to 89.6% from 93.0%, while the selling, general and administrative expense ratio declined to 7.0% and the adjusted ratio fell to 6.9%.

Cash flow from operations reached $3.6 billion during the quarter.

Centene provides government-sponsored and commercial healthcare programmes, including Medicaid, Medicare and health insurance marketplace coverage.

The company now expects full-year GAAP diluted earnings above $3.11 per share, adjusted diluted earnings above $4.80 per share and total revenue of between $193.5 billion and $197.5 billion.
