High AI Capex Demand a 'Multi-Year' Cycle, Says Rudina Seseri

Rudina Seseri, founder and managing partner at Glasswing Ventures, said that she is seeing strong overall demand for AI infrastructure and doesn't see AI capex falling as companies turn toward becoming vertically integrated players in the AI business. Seseri, who was joined by Bloomberg's Ed Ludlow, said that she sees future demand lying in more specialized data sets for industries rather than wide ranging data.

Saudis Slash Main Oil Price to Rare Discount

Ellen Wald, president of Transversal Consulting and Author of 'Saudi, Inc.,' said that Saudi state oil producer Saudi Aramco is lowering the price of oil to make it worthwhile for Asian buyers to charter a tanker to go into the Strait of Hormuz and to buy up stores of oil that have laid stagnant during the war. Wald said that while Saudi Aramco made money off of the conflict in Iran, they want the keep oil prices stable.

Microsoft's Xbox to Cut 3,200 Jobs, Divest Studios in Overhaul

Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox plans to eliminate 3,200 jobs, or around 20% of its staff over the next year, as part of a massive reorganization to spur growth in the struggling gaming division. Xbox will also divest four of its video-game development studios and is beginning the process to part ways with a fifth. "Our business today is not healthy," Chief Executive Officer Asha Sharma wrote in a note to staff Monday morning, adding that Xbox is operating at margins three to 10 times lower than comparable businesses.
