US Jobless Claims Decline, December Trade Deficit Unexpectedly Widens

Applications for US unemployment benefits fell by the most since November as initial claims decreased by 23,000 to 206,000 in the week ended Feb. 14. Meanwhile, the US trade deficit widened in December, from the prior month to $70.3 billion, with the shortfall culminating in a full-year deficit of $901.5 billion. Accenture: India Is 'Taking the Lead' in AI Adoption

India has been innovative in adopting AI through its regulation, AI infrastructure, and its use of AI in the education sector says Julie Sweet, Accenture CEO. The company has been expanding its presence in the country in recent years, and now has over 350,000 employees in India. Julie spoke to Bloomberg TV's Haslinda Amin on the sidelines of the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi.

Euronext CEO: Will Keep Investing This Year

The Euronext CEO says his company will keep investing with revenues set to rise, despite costs expected to jump this year. The pan-European exchange operator said adjusted operating expenses excluding depreciation and amortization will be around 770 million in 2026, a 13% increase on 2025 and above estimates. Stephane Boujnah spoke with Bloomberg's Guy Johnson from Dublin.

Renault Group CEO: 'We'll Continue to Invest in EVs in Europe'

Renault Group CEO Francois Provost speaks exclusively to Bloomberg TV in his first television interview in the role after the automaker reported today that it expects profitability to decline this year as it rolls out new electric models and grapples with rising competition in Europe. Provost said he plans to keep the same strategy as his predecessor and is aiming for resilient growth, pushing outside of Europe: "What I want to do during the next five years is really to deliver a very steady and robust performance in a difficult environment". He also commented on their EV strategy, saying they plan to continue to invest in EVs in Europe and see the competition from China as a catalyst for innovation and partnership.

Airbus CEO Says Pratt Engine Deliveries Are 'Significantly Behind'

Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury says that Pratt & Whitney's engine delivery outlook for 2026 is "significantly behind their previous commitments." He speaks to Bloomberg's Guy Johnson after the aircraft manufacturer said monthly production of A320 aircraft may fall short of 75 units by the end of next year because Pratt isn't able to keep up with demand.
