Boeing (NYSE:BA) and Air Cambodia announced the airline's first-ever purchase of Boeing aircraft on Tuesday, unveiling a deal for up to 20 737-8 jets at the 2026 Singapore Airshow.

The agreement includes a firm order for 10 of the fuel-efficient narrowbodies with options for an additional 10 aircraft.

Valued at approximately $2.4 billion at list prices, the transaction represents the largest single-aisle order in the history of the Phnom Penh-based carrier.

The 737-8s are central to Air Cambodia’s aggressive fleet renewal and regional expansion strategy.

Configured to carry 178 passengers in a two-class layout, the aircraft offers a range of 3,500 nautical miles, enabling the airline to launch new direct routes to North and Southeast Asian markets.

The 737-8 provides a 20% reduction in fuel consumption and carbon emissions compared to the legacy aircraft it will replace, a critical factor for the airline as it targets long-term profitability and sustainability.

The transaction was previously listed as "unidentified" on Boeing's Orders and Deliveries website for December 2025.

With this addition, Air Cambodia’s future fleet will be highly diversified, as the carrier also holds agreements for 20 COMAC C909 and C919 aircraft from China to support its "localization and internationalization" strategy.
