BlossomHill Therapeutics (NASDAQ:BLSM) received FDA Fast Track designation for BH-30643 in adults with advanced or metastatic EGFR C797S-positive non-small cell lung cancer.

The designation covers patients previously treated with a third-generation EGFR TKI, a population for which BlossomHill says no approved oral targeted therapy currently exists.

BH-30643 is being evaluated in the global Phase 1/2 SOLARA trial at more than 40 sites across 10 countries, including C797S resistance cohorts.

Following the announcement, BlossomHill Therapeutics' share price was up 2.87% at $16.85 in premarket trading.

BH-30643 is an investigational oral, non-covalent, macrocyclic and brain-active OMNI-EGFR inhibitor designed to target several EGFR mutation categories while limiting wild-type EGFR activity.

BlossomHill is also developing BH-30236 for R/R AML and HR-MDS and preclinical BH-501284 as a pan-KRAS Switch II inhibitor for KRAS-mutant tumors.
