BlackBerry (NYSE:BB) announced its results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2026 (Q3 FY2026), exceeding revenue expectations with $141.8 million, marking a strong performance across its business segments.

The company’s operating cash flow for the quarter reached $17.9 million, and BlackBerry returned $5 million to shareholders through share repurchases.

As of November 30, 2025, the company ended the quarter with $378 million in cash and investments.

QNX, BlackBerry's real-time operating system, posted a record quarter, achieving $68.7 million in revenue, a 10% year-over-year growth, and an adjusted EBITDA of $16.4 million.

This performance was driven by increased demand in automotive and industrial markets, positioning QNX as a critical part of BlackBerry’s strategy in the growing embedded and IoT sectors.

Secure Communications also performed robustly, surpassing revenue guidance with $67 million in revenue and an adjusted EBITDA of $17.3 million.

The segment’s Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) grew to $216 million, with a strong dollar-based net retention rate (DBNRR) of 92%, highlighting the stability and growth potential of its communications security solutions.

GAAP net income for the quarter was $13.7 million, while adjusted net income stood at $26.8 million, reflecting the company’s efficient operations and strong demand for its software and services.
