Anthropic has entered into a massive infrastructure agreement with Google (NASDAQ:GOOGL) and Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO) to secure approximately 3.5 gigawatts of computing capacity, marking one of the largest hardware commitments in the history of the artificial intelligence industry.
The deal, announced Tuesday, centers on Google’s proprietary Tensor Processing Units (TPUs), which are co-designed with Broadcom.
The additional capacity is expected to begin coming online in 2027, expanding an existing partnership that already sees Broadcom providing one gigawatt of TPU compute to Anthropic for the 2026 fiscal year.
In a related securities filing, Broadcom disclosed a long-term supply assurance agreement with Google that extends through 2031.
The infrastructure expansion coincides with a period of hyper-growth for the San Francisco-based AI firm.
Anthropic confirmed that its annualized revenue run rate has crossed the $30 billion threshold—a more than threefold increase from the $9 billion recorded at the end of 2025.
This growth is underpinned by a surge in enterprise adoption; the company now counts over 1,000 clients committing at least $1 million annually, doubling the figure reported during its Series G funding round in February.
