Wyoming moves state stablecoin from LayerZero
- Wyoming moved its Frontier Stable Token (CRYPTO:FRNT) from LayerZero to Chainlink CCIP.
- The move followed a security review that raised concerns about LayerZero’s disclosure and operational security.
- The migration joins nearly $15 billion of assets moving from LayerZero to Chainlink CCIP.
The Wyoming Stable Token Commission moved Frontier Stable Token (CRYPTO:FRNT) from LayerZero to Chainlink’s CCIP after a security review.
The commission completed the migration and plans to fully remove its LayerZero implementation under a multi-year Chainlink contract.
The commission said Chainlink CCIP was the only cross-chain system meeting its security and reliability requirements.
The move follows a $292 million Kelp DAO bridge exploit that involved LayerZero-powered infrastructure four months earlier.
Around $15 billion has now moved from LayerZero to Chainlink, including migrations involving Kelp, Solv Protocol, Re, Kraken and BitGo.
Frontier Stable Token (CRYPTO:FRNT) is a fully reserved, fiat-backed stablecoin whose reserve income supports Wyoming’s School Foundation Program.
