
World opens prediction markets to 1M users

World has opened its standalone prediction market to more than 1 million waitlisted users, expanding access beyond Phantom.
The platform has created more than 150,000 markets since launching through Phantom, covering sports, crypto, politics, finance and culture.
Each market offers “yes” and “no” contracts priced between $0 and $1, with prices reflecting the market’s view of an event.
Users settle trades with CASH, while orders are routed to liquidity providers operating on Solana (CRYPTO:SOL).
Solana Foundation Head of DeFi Ramzy Ali said the platform is “introducing a new asset class to Solana and keeping 100% of the liquidity onchain”.
World has not disclosed its first-day trading volume, open interest or fee structure, limiting comparisons with larger prediction markets.
World plans to add equity, commodity and weather markets after the initial rollout, including contracts tied to gold, oil and major cities.
At the time of reporting, Solana price was $101.63.
