- Whitechain is relaunching as an Ethereum Layer 2 focused on user growth and distribution.
- The network opens its public testnet and funding applications for Web3 projects on August 18.
- Eligible early-stage teams can receive up to $300,000 in funding.
Whitechain is relaunching as a distribution-focused Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH) Layer 2 designed to help Web3 projects reach users and liquidity.
The network is backed by W Group and WhiteBIT, which together serve more than 40 million users worldwide.
“There are many strong ecosystems, but what increasingly sets them apart is their ability to distribute,” said W Group founder Volodymyr Nosov.
Whitechain is built on the OP Stack and will offer three support tracks for projects at different development stages.
The Builder Program offers eligible early-stage teams up to $300,000 per project, with funding tied to agreed milestones.
Whitechain plans to launch a native decentralised exchange, oracle and bridge as it moves towards mainnet.
The public testnet, funding applications and migration track open on August 18 for Web3 builders and existing protocols.
At the time of reporting, Ethereum price was $1,908.06.
