Top holders of the Official Trump (TRUMP) memecoin are set to attend a private luncheon hosted by Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago property in Florida on Saturday.
Up to 297 attendees are expected, including key crypto figures such as Paolo Ardoino, ChiHyung Song, Anthony Pompliano and Nathan McCauley.
“Trump is much less liked right now than he was after inauguration,”
Said crypto user Morten Christensen.
The event follows a similar 2025 dinner and has drawn scrutiny from lawmakers and watchdog groups, who argue it may blur the line between political access and financial influence.
The potential attendance of Justin Sun remains unclear, despite his position as the top TRUMP token holder and his involvement in a legal dispute with Trump-linked crypto venture World Liberty Financial.
Critics including Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington said wallet activity tied to the token makes it difficult to track how much Trump may profit, noting that transaction fees could generate ongoing revenue.
Since its launch ahead of Trump’s January 2025 inauguration, the TRUMP token has fallen more than 93% from its peak of around $45 to below $3, highlighting volatility despite continued promotional events.
At the time of reporting, Official Trump price was $2.88.
