TRM Labs has introduced AI-powered agents designed to help law enforcement track illicit crypto transactions more efficiently as criminal activity grows.
The tool, embedded in TRM’s Forensics platform, allows investigators to use plain-language prompts to execute complex blockchain analysis without technical expertise.
“What we’re seeing every day is that the caseload is growing faster than the workforce,”
Said TRM Labs head of legal and government affairs, Ari Redbord.
The AI agent translates natural language into investigative actions, enabling users to trace fund flows and identify suspicious activity more quickly across multiple blockchains.
The launch comes as illicit crypto volume reached $158 billion last year, highlighting the scale of activity investigators are attempting to monitor.
TRM said AI-enabled fraud and scams have surged by 500% as criminals increasingly use automation, deepfakes and advanced tools to scale operations.
The firm positions the new system as a response to rising complexity in crypto investigations, where agencies must track activity across jurisdictions and blockchain networks.
