Former NBA champion Tristan Thompson said he buys Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) every day and treats it as a long-term investment.

He made the comments on Anthony Pompliano’s podcast while discussing Bitcoin, trading and technology.

“Buy every day. Stack it. Stack your digital gold,” said former NBA champion Tristan Thompson.

Thompson said he expects internet-based technologies to keep growing and believes Bitcoin has performed better than savings accounts over the past 14 years.

He also said teammates asked if they should buy Bitcoin during recent market swings, and he still supports regular buying.

Thompson said he trades crypto derivatives separately from his long-term Bitcoin holdings and recently closed a profitable short position in Hyperliquid (CRYPTO:HYPE).

He has spoken publicly about Bitcoin several times and said digital assets are part of his broader investment portfolio.
