Solana Foundation adds executives for payments growth

Solana Foundation has appointed Rachel Conlan as chief strategy officer and Jamal Raees as payments general manager.

Conlan joins after three years as Binance’s global chief marketing officer, while Raees joins from Polygon Labs.

“The opportunity now is to bring that to a much wider audience,” Solana Foundation Chief Strategy Officer Rachel Conlan said in the release.

Conlan will focus on institutional partnerships, ecosystem growth and go-to-market activity across the Solana ecosystem.

“Payments are one of the clearest areas where blockchain infrastructure is moving from promise to production,” Solana Foundation General Manager of Payments Jamal Raees said.

Raees will work with payment companies, enterprises and ecosystem participants to expand Solana’s payments infrastructure.

Solana (SOL) processed more than $5 trillion in stablecoin volume during 2026, while real-world assets exceeded $4.5 billion.

Following the update, SOL was trading up 1.9% at $117.36.
