Robinhood has seen its tokenised AMC Entertainment product reach $18.04, while AMC shares closed at $2.54.
The token supply has increased from 152,106 to 2.9 million in three days, according to IOSG research.
The sharp price gap has raised questions about how tokenised stocks behave when trading demand changes quickly.
IOSG has estimated that the larger token supply has required about $7.6 million of AMC shares, although Robinhood has not confirmed the figure.
AMC shares have also climbed, with the stock gaining as much as 22% in pre-market trading.
Robinhood’s system allows token supply to expand or contract through creation and redemption, helping align the token with the underlying shares.
The episode has shown how limited liquidity and stock-market closures can create temporary price gaps between tokenised assets and their underlying shares.
