Ripple, the payments technology company behind the XRP Ledger, holds more than 50 money transmitter licences across the United States, surpassing the requirements set out in the proposed Payment Access to Cryptocurrency Entities (PACE) Act, according to crypto researcher SMQKE.
Ripple has partnered with SettleMint to provide Asian financial institutions with digital asset custody and tokenised asset services.
Ripple said it is ready to expand further across Europe after receiving approval under the European Union’s MiCA framework.
