The mint was recorded on the XRP Ledger, where RLUSD operates alongside XRP (CRYPTO:XRP).
RLUSD is designed to maintain a value of $1 and can be used for payments and transfers.
Ripple launched RLUSD in December 2024 as part of its expansion into stablecoins and digital asset payments.
The stablecoin has since expanded across multiple blockchain networks and crypto platforms.
