Ondo Finance has partnered with Broadridge to enable proxy voting for tokenised stocks and ETFs, allowing crypto wallet holders to participate in corporate governance for the first time.
The integration uses a Web3-enabled relay system linking wallets to Broadridge’s ProxyVote platform, where investors submit preferences that Ondo executes on underlying shares with onchain transparency.
“By working with Broadridge, we are enabling holders of our on-chain tokenised stocks to access governance and voting capabilities, with all the additional benefits on-chain tokens provide,”
Said Ondo Finance global head of institutional, Matthieu de Vergnes.
The move addresses a longstanding limitation in tokenised equities, where investors previously lacked voting rights despite owning blockchain-based representations of traditional securities.
Tokenised stocks have grown to $1.15 billion in value with rising adoption across assets such as Tesla and Nvidia, as Ondo captures roughly 70% of the market with over $700 million locked.
Following the announcement the Ondo Finance share price was unchanged at $XX.
The development follows Ondo’s recent partnerships with Franklin Templeton to bring tokenised ETFs onchain and Binance to list tokenised equities, signalling accelerating convergence between traditional finance and blockchain infrastructure.
