Nethermind shifts cross-chain work to Chainlink
- Nethermind has left its LayerZero verifier role and joined Chainlink (CRYPTO:LINK) as a node operator.
- The Ethereum engineering firm will support CCIP, Data Feeds and blockchain developers.
- Nethermind said the move followed an “extensive review” of both infrastructure providers.
Nethermind has moved its cross-chain operations from LayerZero to Chainlink (CRYPTO:LINK) after reviewing both providers.
The firm has stopped operating a decentralised verifier network within LayerZero.
Nethermind will operate a Chainlink node and support its CCIP and Data Feeds services.
The firm said the decision followed an “extensive review”, but did not publish its findings.
Neither company disclosed financial terms, and Nethermind gave no deadline for completing the migration.
The move follows BitGo, Aave and Wyoming choosing Chainlink for cross-chain operations, while LayerZero has strengthened its verifier requirements.
At the time of reporting, Chainlink price was $10.58.
