
Marex backs Tokenet as demand tops $1B

Marex Group invested an undisclosed amount in Digital Prime Technologies, backing its Tokenet institutional digital asset lending platform.
Tokenet recently surpassed US$1 billion in lending inventory and US$1 billion in borrowing demand from participating launch partners.
The figures represent assets available for lending and institutional borrowing interest rather than US$1 billion of completed loans.
Digital Prime developed Tokenet with securities finance technology provider EquiLend, with Galaxy Digital and Ripple Prime among its launch partners.
Marex said its investment will support Tokenet's continued development while expanding the company's institutional digital assets business.
Marex has also expanded into digital prime brokerage, stablecoin collateral, 24/7 trading infrastructure and digital payments.
Marex's Prime Services business generated US$258.2 million in 2025 revenue after producing about US$80 million annually before its 2023 acquisition.
