Kraken launched its Krak Card in the US, giving verified customers a Visa debit card for spending cash and crypto.
The card is available as a virtual product, while customers can also order a physical card for shops and ATMs.
Krak uses the customer’s available balance and converts assets according to their selected spending order.
The card can be added to Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay for supported transactions.
The launch forms part of Payward’s wider expansion into payments, custody, tokenised assets and other financial services.
Payward has also applied for a US national trust charter to provide custody and other digital asset services if approved.
The company has expanded its regulated infrastructure through Kraken Financial and its wider Payward Services platform.
