Jane Street Group held 20.3 million shares of iShares Bitcoin Trust worth about $1.01 billion at year-end.
The firm added 7,105,206 IBIT shares during the fourth quarter, lifting its position by about 54%.
The filing shows Jane Street expanded its exposure as Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) traded between about $87,000 and $109,000 during the quarter.
The new shares were worth about $276 million based on average prices during the quarter, according to the filing.
At IBIT’s December 31 closing price of $49.65, Jane Street’s reported position was worth about $1.01 billion.
IBIT had more than $40 billion in assets under management by early 2026, reflecting strong demand for spot Bitcoin exposure.
Jane Street is an authorised participant for IBIT, allowing it to create and redeem ETF shares using Bitcoin.
At the time of reporting, Bitcoin price was $64,148.73.
