- Binance plans to restrict transactions involving HTX and 10 other platforms from 23 August.
- Justin Sun says the restrictions apply only to Binance users in the UK and European Union.
- The list matches an EU sanctions measure targeting 11 crypto platforms over Russia-related sanctions.
HTX says Binance’s planned transaction restrictions affect only Binance users in the UK and European Union.
Binance plans to restrict direct and indirect transactions involving HTX and 10 other platforms from 23 August.
“This matter concerns only Binance’s UK and EU users,” Justin Sun wrote on X.
The 11 platforms match an EU measure adopted on 23 July, which takes effect on 23 August.
Binance said affected transactions may face compliance reviews, while related wallets may also face restrictions.
Sun said HTX does not operate in the UK or EU, but the UK regulator still lists HTX as unauthorised.
Bitget will also restrict transactions involving the same 11 platforms from 23 August, according to its announcement.
