Hashdex will liquidate its US$14.25 million Bitcoin ETF this month and sell roughly 225 Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) held by the fund.

The fund has 200,000 shares and never exceeded US$18 million in net assets after converting to spot Bitcoin exposure.

“The getting is so good right now I could see this one getting some bites,” said Bloomberg Senior ETF Analyst Eric Balchunas in 2024.

Hashdex said it considered trading liquidity, operating costs and investor interest before deciding to liquidate the fund.

Remaining shareholders will receive cash after the fund sells its Bitcoin holdings and completes the liquidation process this month.

The product launched as a Bitcoin futures ETF in 2022 before converting into a spot Bitcoin fund in March 2024.

Its assets peaked at US$17.54 million in May 2025, while the next-smallest US Bitcoin ETF held US$140.37 million.

At the time of reporting, Bitcoin price was $63,711.04.
