Hanwha Investment & Securities has reportedly completed a tokenised securities platform supporting Avalanche (CRYPTO:AVAX) in South Korea.

The brokerage began developing the platform in 2025 with blockchain firm FairSquare Lab, with support for Avalanche and Hyperledger Besu.

South Korea’s amended securities laws will recognise distributed ledgers as securities registers from 4 February 2027.

The Financial Services Commission plans to initially allow tokenisation of selected funds, bonds, unlisted shares and fractional investment securities.

The Korea Securities Depository is also developing infrastructure that can connect with Avalanche, Hyperledger Besu and Hyperledger Fabric.

Hanwha has expanded its digital asset investments, with its affiliates holding a combined 9.6% stake in Securitize and investing 30 billion won in Digital Asset.

The platform does not yet mean Hanwha has launched tokenised securities, as the available reports do not identify a specific product or launch date.

At the time of reporting, Avalanche price was $8.10.
