GloBra claims crypto head start on Amazon with GLMall

  • The GloBra Group says its GLMall regional marketplace already offers what Amazon is only planning, including its own crypto payment option.
  • Buyers can pay with GMBT, a SkyFiber blockchain token with no transaction fees, while sellers can limit sales to their own district.
  • Shops open free with no sales fees, as GloBra targets an independent online economy where GMBT keeps circulating.

The GloBra Group says its GLMall marketplace already offers what Amazon is only planning.

Amazon sought a blockchain lead in July but told Reuters reports of specific crypto plans were untrue.

Last year's pandemic showed online shops could keep businesses alive, with some even growing their customer base.

Services moved online too.

GloBra is positioning GLMall as a local marketplace where retailers, producers and service providers sell online.

Sellers can restrict their service area to district level, blocking enquiries from customers too far away.

With high fees keeping crypto payments rare, buyers can pay using GMBT, a fee-free SkyFiber blockchain token.

GMB can be bought with Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether or fiat, then swapped one-for-one for GMBT.

Sellers can spend GMBT on GLMall or swap it back, though cashing out to fiat incurs fees.

GloBra says GLMall does not aim to be another Amazon, as sales happen directly with sellers - who keep 100% of their profit.

Opening a shop is free and no sales fees apply, with sellers paying only to list products.

GLMall anchors GLBrain, a GloBra community platform the company says never stores, uses or markets data.

GloBra FZ-LLC in Dubai financed all development, while GloBra GmbH runs the EU business from Austria.
