
Fireblocks names former SEC chair Elad Roisman

Fireblocks has appointed former SEC Acting Chairman Elad Roisman as the company expands its regulatory and digital asset work.
Roisman served as an SEC commissioner from September 2018 to January 2022, including a period as acting chairman.
Fireblocks said Roisman will bring his experience in securities regulation and digital assets to the company’s work with financial institutions.
Roisman previously worked at Cravath, where he focused on financial regulation, capital markets and digital assets.
His SEC work included changes to US equity market rules and oversight of financial markets, according to the regulator.
Roisman has also advised crypto companies and financial institutions on regulatory and market structure issues since leaving the SEC.
The appointment comes as Fireblocks expands its digital asset infrastructure business and works with banks and other financial institutions.
