  • Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH) has entered its second decade following major leadership and governance changes at the Ethereum Foundation.
  • The network has continued expanding despite internal restructuring and increased competition from rival blockchains.
  • The Ethereum Foundation said it is focusing on scaling, decentralisation and long-term ecosystem development.

Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH) has entered its second decade after a year of significant changes at the Ethereum Foundation, including leadership restructuring and a renewed focus on the network's long-term direction.

The changes come as Ethereum continues to face growing competition from other blockchain networks while working to improve scalability and user experience.

The Ethereum Foundation has reorganised parts of its leadership and operations as it shifts more responsibility to the broader developer community.

Ethereum remains the largest smart contract blockchain by total value locked and continues to support decentralised finance, tokenisation and digital asset applications.

The network has undergone several major upgrades since launching in 2015, including its transition to proof-of-stake through the Merge.

Ethereum's second decade is expected to focus on improving scalability, reducing costs and strengthening decentralisation across the ecosystem.

At the time of reporting, Ethereum price was $1,903.16.
