Nearly 9 million purchases were completed during July, with an average value of about $86.

The data from a16z crypto and Paymentscan showed USD Coin (CRYPTO:USDC) accounted for 58% of spending.

Tether (CRYPTO:USDT) represented another 26%, giving the two dollar-backed tokens 84% combined.

Optimism processed about 29% of tracked spending, while Solana (CRYPTO:SOL) and Base each handled 19%.

Paymentscan began tracking the market in October 2023, when monthly spending was below $1 million.

Crypto cards let users spend stablecoins through traditional card networks, while providers handle conversion and settlement.

At the time of reporting, Solana price was $76.77.
